Lisa attended Guildford Law School in 1996 before heading to London to train. By 1998, when she qualified as a solicitor, Lisa had already gained an invaluable amount of experience, ranging from emergency injunctions, divorce and disputes involving children, working in a very busy specialist family unit in Ealing.
Remaining in London, Lisa moved to a larger family department specialising in high value financial matters where she also worked on a number of international cases involving children.
In 2000, Lisa moved to a firm in Bath where she continued to specialise in family law. Lisa began to develop an interest in financial disputes involving the division of agricultural land and acted for a number of farmers and dealt with complex cases in this area of the law.
Lisa played an active role as a committee member, in the organisation of the 2001 World Congress on Family Law and Rights of Children and Youth. The Congress was attended by delegates from around the World and provided an opportunity for the professions to reflect on legislation, legal, policy and practical issues, exchange and share diverse experiences.
Lisa has represented a number of male clients who have successfully obtained residence orders, for their children to live with them. She has also acted for grandparents who have sadly been prevented from seeing their grandchildren when their parents have separated.
Lisa is a member of a large family and has been through her own divorce. Lisa remarried in 2005 and in her free time, she enjoys walking her chocolate labrador and marathon running.
