Separated parents contact at Christmas
Liz Davies, family lawyer Ludlow
I think with regards Christmas contact and other holidays you need to plan. I would always advise parents to try and agree things well in advance, don’t leave it to the last minute there is no point trying to come to an agreement two weeks before the Christmas period.
So first and foremost sit down, have a chat if that’s possible, and come to an agreement, have it down in writing if you like. If you don’t feel that you can talk things through with your former partner, get a family lawyer involved, get them to write down the proposals and send them, as I say, well in advance.
