Hello there, my name is Ian Giddings and I currently work at the Coventry office of Woolley & Co. I have been practising family law exclusively since 2003. I think one of the questions that people ask me outside of the office is why did I become a solicitor and I think the main reason that I became a solicitor and wanted to get involved in family law is because I wanted to help people. One of the things that I often say to clients is as well as being a solicitor I am a bit of an orthopaedic surgeon, I help people with their posture because when they walk away from their divorce when everything is concluded, I like to think that they can hold their head up high knowing that they have got a good result and they have got the right solution for them.
I am a member of Resolution which is a national body of family lawyers who help people try to avoid conflict in their relationship breakdown. The whole idea behind Resolution is to help people take a long view, focus on the needs of their children and hopefully avoid any unnecessary conflict.
If you would like to get in contact me I offer a free half hour telephone consultation and I would be more than happy to speak with you on any family law issue.
