I have Blogged before about the Divorce Show. What's being billed as the country's largest event of it's kind The Divorce Show will take place at the NEC in September. The organisers say that with 140,000 divorces each year and the whole process of divorce and relationship breakdown often taking five years there is a massive demand for information and advice from divorcing couples.
As a divorce solicitor who is heavily involved in the Show, I had some PR photos taken with the Divorce Show people in sunny Stratford upon Avon; I think the theme of them will be a bridge over troubled waters as they were taken in front of the old footbridge! In a way, that is amusing but actually we really do work hard at our specialist firm of family lawyers to try to do our bit to reduce the upset and difficulty found during divorce and relationship breakdown.
With this in mind our family law website has featured people who support people in divorce and relationship breakdown other than just lawyers, see this link. It contains divorce coaches, counsellors, IFAs, pension advisers. If you think we should add somebody, do let us know! If it will help our clients, I expect we'll do it.
Certainly, the Divorce Show intends to offer that help and so much more.
